August rich with meaningful experiences. We met each other's families, went bowling and karting, went to Malinalco with her family, and, most significantly, our heartfelt exchange of "I love you's" in the Via Santa Fe parking lot. Each moment strengthened our bond, even as long distance soon became our new normal with Isa heading to university in London and me heading back to Madrid.

Our long distance journey began with a goodbye that felt less like an ending and more like an eager promise of seeing each other soon. It was hard, but our connection grew stronger each day despite the distance between us.
